This is my official web site, where you will get to know me as a writer, an author and a person. Kind of a tall order for small hunk of cyber space, don't you think? Intimidating.

Almost intimidates me into reciting my credentials. You know, "I'm Sandy Nathan, national award winning author." When I read stuff like that from other people, I think, "And this is Alphonse, my tap-dancing poodle who speaks French."

I don't like that kind of she-with-the-most-awards-wins thinking. I grew up in Silicon Valley, where kids in grade school think in terms of how what they do will look on their resumes.

How can I tell you who I am and what this site is about in a few words?

Well, I sat down to write one day in 1995 and didn't get up for nine years. Saying I was inspired doesn't come close. Driven. Flaming. I wrote nine books in that period, calling them The Bloodsong Series. Why? Because not only were my world shaking and my blood singing, the books show it.

Numenon is the first book of The Bloodsong Series. You can find out more about it on the menu above. Numenon is being released in May 2008. It is a tale of mysticism and money as the richest man in the world meets a great shaman. This book is merely the beginning--the roller coaster's initial climb.

People have asked me: What can I expect from Numenon? Is Numenon a gripping page-turner, an action thriller pitting the highest levels of American capitalism against ancient shamanic power?

Or is it a philosophic investigation into the reality of the mystics, the reality beyond and beneath our everyday lives?

Will it take me to my core, the real me I've always wanted to be?

Read it and find out--please, be my guest. Read Numenon.

(When you finish it, you can relax: The sequel is already written.)

Please, spend some time with me on this site. You'll find it's huge--I've got maybe five 'zines tucked in these simple pages. Push buttons, follow links. (Hint: Try the About the Author and More about Sandy Nathan tabs above.) We got photos, interviews, my blog, and images of our horses. (I did tell you I live on a horse ranch? No? I live on a ranch with my husband.)

You can even contact me. If you've got a book club, I'd love to talk to you. We can figure out a way to meet. I can attend your meeting on the phone, maybe.

I'm Sandy Nathan. I live outside the box, I write way outside my mental constraints. I love the world I live in when I'm writing. I'd like to take you there. Best way is to read my words.

Welcome, best wishes, let's transform the world while being our truest selves. But now, I'm going to go play with Alphonse. Everyone needs to know a tap-dancing poodle!
